Gesture Drawings- 30 Seconds Each
Today I did some gesture drawing. It had been some time since I did any gesture drawings. I originally started last summer with trying to do gesture drawings everyday. It became a burden that I didn't want to keep up with so I gave it up and tried again off and on up until today. My goals for this year involve getting better at character drawings and building my proficiency towards a webtoon/manga. Getting better at drawing means I'm better at making art for linocut prints. I'll be better at making characters on iPad or PC in Clip Studio Pro or Rebelle 8 and potentially selling prints of those items as well.
I had to refocus my disparate parts and unify them today. I had two different principles competing for my attention throughout this misogi. One builds into the other and work towards the game goal: become a better artist and prep for potential works to be sold in a portfolio and commission work. So my focus changes now to where I will be doing gesture drawings, artist studies, and YouTube lessons into practical work. I'm excited to see where I end up at the end of six months.
