DC Comics has come out with an Absolute line of their flagship characters. Absolute Wonder Woman captures the essence of Guts from Berserk in terms of character design. I was practicing my Chommang draw overs of reference photos and found one reference on Pinterest of a model holding a greatsword and decided to use that.

The base image was added as reference in Procreate, and then I added a layer on top of it and used a pencil brush to draw the anatomy pieces. I kept adding layers as I did the sketches for the armor, muscles, hair and headband, etc. I eventually tried different brushes and landed on some marker and watercolor brushes.

I do need to do some more work with brushes and follow a process but this was fun to work on! The work overall took roughly 45 minutes from start to finish.
